Terms of service
Last updated 1 October 2026
1. Who can use Talkonymous
- You must be at least 18 years old. By using the app you confirm that you are.
- You must be legally able to agree to these terms where you live.
- You may not use Talkonymous if we have banned you, or if the law prohibits you from using it.
2. The service
Talkonymous connects you with other adult users at random for anonymous voice calls and text chats, matched on language and interests. We provide the service free of charge, and may add optional paid features later; any such features will be clearly priced and sold only through Google Play's billing system.
We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time. We'll try to give notice of major changes, but we're not obliged to keep any feature available.
3. Your conduct
You're responsible for everything you say and share on Talkonymous. You agree to follow the Community guidelines, and in particular not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, stalk or intimidate anyone, or use hate speech.
- Share sexual content involving anyone under 18 in any form, or try to contact minors. This leads to the longest ban, permanent removal for repeat offenders, and cooperation with the authorities as the law requires.
- Share sexually explicit content with someone who hasn't clearly agreed to it.
- Record, screenshot or broadcast another user's voice or messages without their consent.
- Share anyone's personal information (doxxing), or try to find out who someone really is.
- Spam, advertise, solicit money, run scams, or promote illegal goods or services.
- Impersonate Talkonymous staff or another person.
- Use bots, automation, or modified clients, or interfere with or overload the service.
- Use the service for anything illegal under the laws of India or where you live.
4. Moderation and enforcement
Every call and chat has Report and Block buttons. Blocked users are never matched with you again. When several different people report the same user, that user is automatically banned: 1 day, then 7 days, then 30 days for repeat offences. We may also ban anyone at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe they've broken these terms or put others at risk.
Because we don't store conversations, we can't review what was said. Enforcement relies on reports from users.
5. Content
You keep any rights you have in what you say. You give us only the limited permission needed to transmit it to the person you're talking to. We don't store, publish or reuse your content.
Content from other users is theirs alone. We don't pre-screen it and aren't responsible for it. See our Disclaimer.
6. Our app and brand
The Talkonymous app, name, logo and design belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell or create derivative works of it, except as the law expressly allows.
7. Disclaimers
Talkonymous is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability or accuracy. We don't verify users' identity, age or intentions, and we don't guarantee that any user will behave well. Use the service at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talkonymous and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or from other users' conduct. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Talkonymous and its operators from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Talkonymous at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 4. Sections 5–9 and 11 continue to apply after your use ends.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Puducherry, India.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app about significant changes. If you keep using Talkonymous after changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
13. Contact
