Delete your data
Last updated 1 October 2026
Talkonymous has no accounts. There's no username, password, email or phone number to delete, so you can remove everything yourself.
Option 1: Reset identity (keep the app)
- Open Talkonymous and go to the You tab.
- Tap Reset identity and confirm.
This erases your nickname, avatar, interests, languages, gender setting and Recent list from your phone, and replaces your anonymous install ID with a new one, so you can't be linked to your old identity.
Option 2: Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Talkonymous deletes all its data from your phone. The app doesn't use Android cloud backup, so nothing is restored if you reinstall.
What happens on our servers
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Profile, messages, call connection details | Never stored. Deleted from memory the moment you disconnect. |
| Reports about you | Discarded automatically within 24 hours. |
| Ban record (only if you were banned) | A scrambled ID, expiry time and strike count, deleted 90 days after the ban ends. After a reset your new ID isn't linked to it. |
| Anonymous diagnostics | Contain no identifiers, so they can't be linked to you. Overwritten automatically. |
